To New Beginnings!!
We are not really sure how to introduce ourselves (The Chaat Sisters) to the internet. We are just three gals who met through our husbands.We stay in California and have a passion for making good food(read experimenting) and trying out random stuff :) We'd meet at either of our houses, try recipes of different cuisine. One fine day, this thought comes out of nowhere, "Hey, why not start a blog about all the recipes we try!". Well, that's not at all a bad idea is it? Except, it took more than a year for us to execute it. Its not really that easy to take an idea and do something about it. But, we were like enough is enough. Today has to be the day!!
Here goes nothing :)
Meera, Pooja and Preethi, three gals living in the bay area, working and love cooking together. Short and sweet!
There is obviously a story behind why we picked that name, or rather should we say, how that name tagged along! So here it goes..
Once upon a time, in the Bay area, three girls decided to get together and cook chaat (duh, obviously) since they missed what they used to get in their motherland. They cooked all afternoon and served their guests that evening. Everybody was overjoyed and appreciated the food. The three of us were on cloud 9! :) Out of nowhere, one of our husbands snuck in that name in a conversation with their friends. Then on, we were labeled with the name "Chaat Sisters"! We obviously did not like it immediately. Like who would? Really!!? But so we did, eventually .. :) We went ahead, created a whatsapp group with just the three of us (elite and exclusive members of the group you see ;)). Then on, there was no stopping us. We'd get together on weekends and try different recipes of different cuisines.
Now of course, everything we try, is going on this blog. Hope you all try them and give us feedback and suggestions about the recipes. They are going to be tried and tested. And what makes this different? We will give out tips and tricks on how to give this dish the edge over others.

Well written blog. Can't say anything about the recipe since I did not get to taste the dish. Guess it must have been good since it encouraged you all to write this wonderful blog. Keep experimenting and enjoying
